If restoring old buildings can be a considered a challenge, antique hardware is probably the most fiddly and most satisfying element of the process.   It’s a ton of work to find all the right pieces and then clean and install them but, when you’re done and you’ve done it right, EVERYBODY notices.

At Artefacts, we carry and extensive and eclectic selection of antique hardware dating from the 1780s to the 1930s – glass and crystal door knobs, decorative hinges of cast iron, hand forged thumb latches, shutter hinges, porcelain door knobs, rim locks and much more.

We also offer complete restoration services of our stock so you can buy it “as is” and clean it yourself or we can take care of that for you.  In addition, if you have some door hardware that needs some TLC, talk to us and we’ll see what we can do.
