Interior Doors

One of the main components to an architectural salvage company is its collection of interior doors.

Ranging is style, size, colour, material and condition, interior doors are often the most abundant element removed from buildings prior to demolition. In turn, they tend to be a main focus for those looking to refurbish or restore their homes.  In some cases, only one door is needed and, in others, a whole house lot is called for.

At Artefacts, most of the interior doors we have sell individually but, when a great set comes along, we like to keep them together for those building a new house or cottage.  Prices typically range from $65 – $95/door for pine or fir doors while the hardwoods – ash, oak, maple and walnut (yes, sometimes) – can run a little higher.

All of our doors are solid wood and are 90 to 190 years old.

We, of course, offer our services to refinish, resize or repair our doors, if you would rather put your feet up.  Period hardware is also available.
