Tables Made From New & Reclaimed Materials

For years, we’ve carefully sourced fragments of wrought and cast iron — window guards, fencing, roof cresting — pieces too small or weathered to be reused in their original form. When properly cared for, iron has an extraordinary lifespan. Giving these historic elements a second life is both a responsibility and a joy.

We pair these reclaimed metals with salvaged wood from demolished buildings. Unlike most new lumber, old-growth wood offers a tighter, more stable grain, often in larger dimensions, and carries a richness and character that simply cannot be replicated. The result is a material palette that is both durable and distinctive.

Together, these elements create pieces that are truly hard to match.

The tables shown below represent a sampling of our work, crafted from both new and reclaimed materials. Because salvaged materials are inherently unique, many pieces are one of a kind and cannot be exactly reproduced. If a featured piece has already found its home, let it serve as inspiration — a starting point for what we can create together using newly discovered materials.

Foundation Table

Possibly the last of the bridge girder bases we’ll be able to make is here used below heavily figured oak to make a solid (and weighty) dining table.

Flywheel Table

Rustic and refined, this 42″ wide hemlock top sits on a cast iron threshing machine flywheel.

Trestle Table

This beauty will spend a few days on the showroom before being picked up. When Scott finished a table like this, he gets giddy and wants to dance on it in stocking feet. I manage to keep him off most of them.

Cribbage Table

Crafted from a rare flattened barn beam, this cribbage board gave us fits of trouble but, as Chris has never scored a 29 and has only so much life left to do so, he thought it might appease the gods.

Live Edge Conference Table

Just finished, this walnut conference table is made from two live edge planks out of Waterloo set atop a pair of cast iron bridge girder bases.

The Bones

Here you see the skeletal beginnings of a 12 foot long table made from salvaged hemlock.  The trestle style is old world and approachable.
